CVA Visiting Artist Lecture Series: Quinn Alexandria Hunter
On the second Tuesday of each month, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Chautauqua Visual Arts will host a visiting artist for a live lecture through our Virtual Porch on CHQ Assembly. Each lecture will be followed by an open conversation and Q&A session moderated by Sharon Louden, CVA Artistic Director. Audience members are encouraged to participate. Sharon Louden title: Sharon Louden, Sydelle Sonkin and Herb Siegel Artistic Director of the Visual Arts Quinn A Hunter: Quinn Alexandria Hunter is a sculptor and performance artist who completed her MFA work at Ohio University. Born and raised in North Carolina, she works primarily with hair and the African American female body as material. Quinn is a recipient of the I. Hollis Parry/Ann Parry Billman Award (2019), The International Sculpture Center’s 2019 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture (2019), a 2020 Artist in Residence of the Chautauqua School of Visual Art and the 2020-2021 Artist in Residence at Wayne State University.
