The Mirror Project: A Converstion about Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility at Chautauqua Institution

When the Mirror Project was introduced, it was promised that periodically a porch chat would be convened to have a discussion of the postings led by someone with lived experiences affected by racism. Today, we will be joined by Dr. Robert Franklin, former Director of Religion at Chautauqua Institution and a member of the Board of Directors of the African American Heritage House at Chautauqua. Dr. Franklin will make some observations on the postings on the Mirror Project, share some thoughts on the current state of race relations in the U.S. and then respond to questions and answers from the audience. As we struggle with issues such as how to identify privilege, how to take meaningful individual action and how to then translate that to community action, it is a discussion not to be missed.
