Student Instrumental Recital

Darren Carter Darren Carter currently studies violin performance at Baylor University with Dr. Eka Gogichashvili. He also works closely with Patricia Shih of the Borealis Quartet. Darren is a principal of the Baylor Symphony and plays with the Waco and Temple symphonies. He recently attended the Round Top Music Festival, and has been a finalist in Baylor's concerto competition and Semper Pro Musica competition Riley Conley Riley Conley recently finished his Master of Music degree in trumpet at The Colburn School, where he studied with James Wilt. Previously, Mr. Conley studied with Jack Sutte at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. He has attended the Aspen Music Festival twice, most recently as a trumpet fellow in 2018. This past summer, Mr. Conley was named section trumpet with the Lake Tahoe Festival. Allyson Cohen Allyson is a violinist studying at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings with Amy Moretti, David Kim, and Robert McDuffie. Allyson was a member of the Braverman quartet, as well as the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. In 2017, she joined NYO-USA’s tour of South America, led by Marin Alsop. Allyson has also been apart of the 2019 National Repertory Orchestra and the Rome Chamber Festival. Alexander Smith Alexander Smith started studying cello at the age of 3 in Hamilton, Ontario. He was a national finalist in the Music Teachers National Association Competition, winner of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award, and appeared on NPR's From The Top. An Interlochen graduate, he also previously attended Le Domaine Forget's Cello Institute. He studies with Dr. Felix Wang at the Blair School of Music.
